With all the recent re-calls for toys made in China with lead paint, I hesitate to use anything made in China that will come in direct contact with my food or beverage. The original Bialetti parts are made in Italy. With Bialetti you get 3 rubber ring gaskets and a stainless steel filter plate. Get that one instead.
