(More customer reviews)I bought my blue taika mug in our local Ittala store and I am very pleased with it. It is clearly the design that makes it such a great mug, the form makes it easy to hold and sip your hot beverage. The pattern by designer Klaus Haapaniemi gives it that magical touch (taika means magic in Finnish). Every time a drink from it, I start to wonder if the deep, dark Finnish forests really look like this ;-)
Filled to the brim, this mug takes 400 ml (about 13 fluid ounce). In other words, it takes two standard size cups of 180 ml (6 fluid ounce). This is excellent and the folks at Ittala have clearly taken their time to think about this. The mug itself is beautifully crafted from porcelain.
I really recommend this mug to anyone who is looking for a mug that is just a bit more luxurious and stylish than the average mug from a kitchen supply store.
